Affiliated Regional Societies

There are a number of Regional Lily Societies in the United States and Canada that are affiliated with NALS. Joining a Regional is an excellent way to meet lily growers in your area, and to find out what lily cultivars grow best in your local climate.

Regional Societies generally hold lily shows, garden tours, and educational meetings, as well as publish newsletters. Many of the Regionals also have spring and fall bulb sales, selling everything from the old standbys to the new and exotic, all at excellent prices.

Do you need help finding the Regional closest to you? Visit the Regional Society Map to locate the nearest Regional to you. It shows the location of each regional, as well as contact information and a home-page link if available. Contact information for all of the Regional Societies is also found on the Regional Society List Page.

The Species Lily Preservation Group (SLPG) is also affiliated with NALS. Its focus is on growing and preserving species lilies. The SLPG publishes a color newsletter, and holds an educational meeting in conjunction with the NALS annual meeting. It also offers species bulbs to members during the fall of each year.

There are also a number of other Lily Societies located around the globe, listed under the Resources Tab. If you know of any that are missing, please contact the NALS web contact.
